The Substation/ Artist/TUMI THE BE/

Tumi is a Motswana poet and rapper who began his creative journey as a teenager, after seeing his first rap cipher. Captivated by the sound syncopated speech over a fat beat, he wrestled a pen to an empty page and turned churning thoughts to rhyming verse." ~ Triple J Unearthed ~Tumi makes music to delight and inspire, acknowledging the fight of those that came before him, recognising the privilege that comes with freedom of speech, which he uses to his advantage, bringing something refreshing yet thoughtful to the Australian hip-hop scene. His sound is one steeped in rich musical, spiritual and poetic tradition.

Tumi the Be is supported by Pitch/R.
