The Substation/ Artist/Siobhan Mckenna/

Siobhan McKenna is a choreographer, performer and teacher currently working in Melbourne, Australia. Siobhan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance which she completed at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2016.

Her Choreographic practice involves a preoccupation with the experimentation and play between voice, sound and movement, and particularly the live performance of simultaneous voice and movement. Over the past four years she has been researching ways of incorporating dance and sound together to expand and question the relationship between the two mediums. Siobhan has always been interested in the sensorial body and is particularly fascinated with how we, as humans, interpret sound and language.
