The Substation/​ Artist/​Sayaka Botanic/

Sayaka Botanic is originally from Yokohama. For over a decade, she has collaborated with Tommy Tokyo (Tot Onyx) as part of group A, an industrial avant-garde duo that was based for a time in Berlin and is known for landmark releases - Initiation, 70 + a =, Circulation - as well as the incantatory soundtrack anOther, released on Mannequin. Across Asia and Europe, they captivated audiences with their concerts - ritualistic performances where the abrasiveness of the staging matched that of the sound.

Now back in Japan, Sayaka Botanic is deeply engaged in the region’s vibrant experimental scene, and released her first solo EP, (_____), in 2023. Nonexistent Landscape is her first album / second EP.
