The Substation/ Artist/​Sarah Aiken/

Sarah Aiken is a Melbourne based dancer and choreographer from Bellingen NSW whose work investigates assemblage, authorship, scale and the self, looking at the roles of audience, performer, subject and object. Sarah premiered “Make Your Life Count” at Arts House in 2022 and was an Australia Council artist in resident at HIAP, Helsinki. Sarah has an expanded choreographic practice and is developing new works for stage, screen and gallery. Her video works have been shown at the MCA, Arts House, Dromana Drive-In and The Substation. She is a recipient of the Chloe Munro Independent Artist Fellowship.

The Substation Galleries are currently closed, and will reopen on Thursday 30 May with 'Object of Projection' by Kim Gordon.
