The Substation/​ Artist/​Rachel Coulson/

Rachel is an independent dance artist and facilitator based in Naarm. Her artistic practice is highly physical, and people focused.

Rachel has performed in works by Stephanie Lake and Robin Fox (Manifesto, A Giant Theremin), Alisdair Macindoe (Reference Material), Antony Hamilton (Yung Lung, Nyx, Blood & Bone), Melanie Lane (Death Peak), Rebecca Jensen and Sarah Aiken (Overworld) and Siobhan McKenna (Rhythmic Fictions).

Rachel shares her own dance practice with youth companies, tertiary students, and independent artists based around so-called-Australia.

Rachel completed her dance training at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and The Victorian College of the Arts.
