The Substation/ Artist/HUH/
HUH is a freeform-freakout/noise improvisation duo. Formed in Tokyo July 2007, HUH features Kyosuke Terada on guitar/voice, and Takuma Mori on drums/voice.
HUH seeks out melting points of groove, noise, junk rock, no wave, punk, free jazz though the mechanism of physical improvisation.
Live HUH is a fierce and ephemeral exploration of moments.
HUH have been prolific creators of studio and live releases. In March 2023, they released their first vinyl LP from France's "An' Archives", which was then selected for "The Best Experimental Music on Bandcamp: April 2024". The duo has also recorded with JOLT’s James Hullick and various artists from the BOLT Ensemble and The Amplified Elephants.
HUH organize many independent gigs across Tokyo and Japan. The Duo toured the EU in 2017, performed at "LSF" Experimental music festival in Taipei 2018. They toured Australia in 2019 and then again in 2025 with the BOLT Ensemble and JOLT Arts.
