PRESENTED BY THE SUBSTATION
Producing Is A Feeling is a hands-on workshop for artists, makers, and creative freelancers who want to feel more confident when managing their own projects. Led by producer Arie Rain Glorie and joined by The Substation CEO Nuala Furtado, this session distils over a decade of experience in independent and organisational production into accessible tools and strategies—designed to support your unique way of working.
Whether you're juggling spreadsheets, negotiating with presenters, or mapping out your next big idea, this workshop is about tuning into the emotional and energetic labour behind creative projects. It’s not just about timelines and budgets—it’s about alignment, values, boundaries, and burnout prevention.
Participants will explore real-world tools including templates, while also engaging in reflective exercises and supportive discussion. You'll leave with practical resources and a renewed sense of clarity about how you want to run your creative practice.
Perfect for early-career artists, mid-career producers wanting a refresh, or anyone who feels like traditional project management just doesn’t quite fit.
Participants are required to bring a project for discussion to the workshop.
To participate, please submit your EOI here by Friday, 22 August. Successful participants will be contacted via email.
