The Substation/​ Artist/​Sandra Parker/

Sandra Parker is an interdisciplinary artist. Her work focuses on the detail of movement, somatic embodiment, and perception, and includes theatre pieces and gallery installations that employ a range of materials including movement, light, sound, video, interactivity, sculptures, and text.

While Sandra’s background is in dance, her practice involves an evolution of methods and processes that interrogate the creation, production and presentation of performance, which can be seen across her body of work.

Sandra is the recipient of the Australia Council for the Arts Dance Board Fellowship and a Centenary Medal for Services to Australian Society and Dance.
