The Substation/ Artist/​Caroline Meaden/

Caroline Meaden works as a dancer/choreographer across performance and live art contexts. Originally from Geelong, she studied at Adelaide Centre for the Arts and VCA. Her solo choreographies include: Blowin’ Up: Sneaky Bastard, for The Substation’s curated Melbourne Fringe Season (Melbourne Fringe Arts House Evolution Award); and as part of her Postgraduate Diploma in Choreography (Too Much Sun and Untitled).

In addition to her work with Alice and Will, she has worked with Shelley Lasica (Behaviour Part 7), Michelle Heaven (In Plan – Castlemaine Festival and Melbourne International Arts Festival), Monica Bill Barnes & Company (NYC –The Gallery Workout – MEL&NYC Festival, The Arts Centre and National Gallery of Victoria), Natalie Cursio (Blizzard, Tiny Slopes – Dance Massive Festival), Phillip Adams BalletLab (Metamorphosen – Melbourne Art Fair), Alice Dixon (And Then – Lucy Guerin Inc. Pieces for Small Spaces), Reckless Sleepers (BEL/UK – A String Section) and Opera Australia among others. Caroline was a collaborative artist on the three-time Green Room Award nominated work, Blizzard (directed by Nat Cursio, presented at The Substation) and has been an artist in residence at Arts House, Tasdance, Boyd Studio 1 (City of Melbourne), Mosaico Danza (Italy), Dancehouse, The Substation, Lucy Guerin Inc., Vitalstatistix and Chunky Move.
