Stallholder application information
How to apply
- The Application Form and the Terms and Conditions Agreement can be printed from this website.
- The Application Form asks for a short description of your work, and asks you to provide good quality photographs, or printed digital images of your work and of your stall as it will be set up. Images and description of work supplied by the artist may also be used for promotional purposes, with the artist's permission.
- The Application Form, signed Terms and Conditions Agreement and photos need to be sent to our postal address. Applications will not be processed without both forms and images.
Selection criteria
- All stallholders will be selected on the basis of quality and uniqueness of work.
- Selection will be made to maintain a balance of media represented at the market.
Selection Process
- The Market's selection panel includes staff, practicing artists and other arts professionals.
- All applicants will be notified of results by email or mail.
- Depending on stall availability, it may be necessary for some applicants to join a waiting list until a stall becomes available.
- Successful applicants will be offered an initial trial period of three consecutive markets, however at the end of that period, the stall will continue by mutual agreement between the artist and The Substation with no obligation to do so incumbent on either. The presentation of the stall and the standard of work need to be consistent each month, for the artist to retain the site.
- Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to reapply if their range changes significantly. The panel's decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
